§1What this site is

Thirteen static pages about long-range betting markets: what a horizon does to a price, why the margin on a field of runners is wider than on a match market, what happens to a bet when a competitor does not take part, what actually moves a far-off price, what it costs to leave a position, the capital arithmetic of committing money for a season, the annual rhythm of when these markets open and tighten, the false beliefs that make a long price feel like an edge, and a checklist for reading the rules first.

Every page describes a mechanism. None of them recommends a bet, names an operator, quotes a market or states a price. That is a deliberate restriction and not an oversight.

§2Why it exists

Three things are true of almost all writing about long-range betting. It talks about selection, because selection is what people want to read. It treats the margin as a footnote, because the margin is not fun. And it treats the horizon as a period of waiting rather than as the thing that defines the instrument.

This site takes the opposite order. The horizon comes first, because it is the source of every cost that follows: the wider margin, the committed capital, the rule exposure, the expensive exit and the months of no feedback. A reader who understands those costs can read any selection argument sensibly. A reader who does not cannot, however well the argument is made.

§3How it is built

The site is static HTML generated from a small set of source files. There is no runtime JavaScript on any page: the only scripts in the markup are the structured-data blocks in each page head, and there is no analytics, no cookie, no font request to a third party and nothing that collects anything about a reader.

§4What it refuses to do

The site refuses four things, and each refusal is visible on every page.

• Publish a selection No page names a competitor, a market or a price, because a named selection would be indistinguishable from advice and would age into being wrong.
• Publish a fabricated measurement Where a real figure would be needed to support a claim, the claim is made qualitatively and the diagram is labelled illustrative. There are no invented statistics on this site.
• Present a method as a system No page offers a staking plan, a selection rule or a route to profit, because none of those can be given honestly to a reader whose circumstances are unknown.
• Hide the commercial link The sponsored link is disclosed on every page, in the header and in a block that says what it is, and it is never framed as an opportunity.

§5How it is paid for

The site is paid for by one sponsored link to a partner operator. It appears in the header of every page and once in the body of some pages, and it is labelled as an affiliate link wherever it appears. If a reader opens an account through it, this site may be paid, at no extra cost to the reader.

No operator has any input into what is published here, no page is sponsored content, and nothing on the site has been written to favour the partner. A site that explains why a long horizon is expensive and then sells a link into it owes the reader that much.
